I go down to the sea,

Watch the ocean running back at me,

Sun so hot, water so cool,

Tell me who it is, that is the fool.

To the one who said, it’s my water, my sand,

Weren’t you told, this is not your land.

🌊⏳🌊⏳

Who’s the right to say it’s theirs,

To strip the land as if no one cares,

North to south and east to west,

They will tell you it’s for the best.

But what becomes of the sea and sand,

Who said this was your land?

🌊⏳🌊⏳

The rain it pours to ease the drought,

The land has been too long without,

We have destroyed this land without consent,

And now we cry because it’s almost spent.

I find it hard to understand,

Who said you could destroy this land?

🌊⏳🌊⏳

Some tried to learn, some tried to teach,

Mysteries held through freedom of speech,

But it’s all to no avail, the damage done,

Widespread destruction has already begun.

Nothing is left, the land cannot withstand,

Have we destroyed the essence of this land?

🌊⏳🌊⏳

Who has the right to say what’s theirs

You’ve stripped this land, never to repair.

Don’t tell me you misunderstand,

Who said this was your land?

🌊⏳🌊⏳

Till next time,

Calvin
