Lord give me strength,

And wisdom too,

To do the things that I must do,

I can’t go on without your help,

Help me Lord, make me strong

To find a path where I belong.

++++ ------ ++++

I don’t understand how it came to this,

I struggle to see what it was that I missed,

Many things I’ve come to regret,

I try so hard to let go and forget,

But I doubt myself and who I am,

Lord, help me to be brave and strong.

++++ ------ ++++

Lord, show me the light

And make it strong

A beacon that will right the wrong,

I loved her then and I love her now

But she’s moved on, with others now

And all I can do is wonder how.

++++ ------ ++++

Lord, give me grace,

To find my place,

My heart is weak, my life misplaced,

I dwell on things out of my control,

Teach me how to let this go,

Lord, give me strength so I might know.

++++ ------ ++++

My head is weary,

My heart is hurt,

My confidence is low,

No self-esteem to greet the world,

Tell me, Lord, which way do I go?

++++ ------ ++++

Till next time,

Calvin

    I thought this was really good. It had a sort of old time feel to it, like a prayer or a recited tale.
