Whitstable Kiss

I never thought I’d be the cliché...

By Caleb JohnsonPublished 7 years ago 1 min read

I never thought I’d be the cliché

But here to everyone’s dismay

I see you behind my so closed lid

And lack you more than I ever did

The boy who took my heart for years

But mourn for him I had no tears

As I now know that wasn’t what

My heart desires, but what it got

I smoked your cigarettes today

The ones you left where you once lay

And with each breath I kill myself

But what do I deserve of health?

If this short life is not spent with you

The boy who brings my morning dew

The one who gave more to me

Than the man who took this virginity

And now I sob and moan and wonder

If I could ever be much fonder

Of someone whose hair won’t fall

In that parting, or act a fool

The pebble that arched our backs

As we kissed and dogs attacked

Surrounded by abandoned boats

New unknown music notes

But still you told me in your throat

Jag älskar den här låt

(I love this song)
