White Tea

I was gifted joy and summer

In the form of tea bulbs

Flowering and artisanal

From the tea makers of London

Steeped to perfection this gift

Calms me as do all tranquil bodies do

And I was gifted a European summer

From a city suburb to green gardens

Every pasture became my friendly abode

Every sliver of green grass, I was not alone

Sipping on white cups under embroidered napkins

Decorating this ceremonial season of sunshine

It was all quite fair and it was all so fine

But most importantly, it was all truly mine
