Always so cold, but why, she asked
My body was frozen by truth
Her ache reverberated through us both
In the stillness we found as darkness settled
A hesitation heavy as suffocation
Words were my weapons, but I was silent
Afraid to whimper, excuse, or offer

I love the heaviness and the way the last line just ends. Perfect picture choice too!
I think the silence here feels heavier than any spoken line.
Oooh, this is a very difficult one and you described what many of us feel in relationships. Splendid work!!❤️❤️
What to do when there are no words? Great piece.
Winter is here 🤍
Such a sad piece, Paul. You do know how to strike a chord with your words. <3
Powerfully emotive… this struck a chord regarding one of my fractured relationships, which I’m trying to work on. Praying things improve.
Yes … Sometimes the words are there but we choose not to use them. Silence may confuse, but it can be better than what saying can create.
This one hits home my man. Great work
This is lovely. It's sad but so good.
Hoping this is a memory piece and not a current situation, but beautifully expressed.
I’m glad once you offered something your life has changed, Paul. You are a great poet!

That seems like a very sad situation to be in. Hope you're okay Sir Paul 🥺 Sending you lots of love and hugs ❤️
