Voices calling in my head
Of journeys yet to come
I wake to find me here instead
Of where I started from
I wander far down starlit paths
To castles in the air
Where the Milky Way and maybes crash
As moonbeams dance upon my hair
I hold my breath to make it last
Trading wishes for some stardust
Creating dreams of colored glass
Chasing the hope of wanderlust
If only I could stay here
In this world of fantasy
Id give most anything to peer
Deeper into that side of me
But wake I must, from slumber
To make the most of this new day
For the ones I have are numbered
Before again, I’m called away

There are days I would rather dream away, too.
I wish I can stay in the world of fantasy too! Loved your poemA
beautiful!
Beautiful poem with so many great lines! This one really stood out for me: "Where the Milky Way and maybes crash." Well done!
The neverending struggle between duties and stardust dreams ✨💕
I know the feeling when you experience a good slumber but you have to get up .
The conflict between the have-to and the pull of our dreams. This poem makes me want to chase.the stardust dreams more often.
Magnificently written!!! Lots of lovely lines!!! Loving this!!!💕❤️❤️
