Whispers of Winter Wonder
Embracing the Joy, Nostalgia, and Serenity of the Holiday Season

The air turns crisp; the frost appears,
Marking the close of fleeting years.
A gentle hush falls on the land,
Snowflakes gather, soft and grand.
-
Pine trees dressed in emerald hue,
Glow beneath the stars' cold blue.
Cinnamon scents and fires bright,
Fill the long and quiet night.
-
From homes, the sound of laughter rings,
While carolers share the songs they bring.
Children’s whispers, hopes take flight,
Dreaming of wonders wrapped in white.
-
Candles flicker on windowsills,
Casting warmth on moonlit hills.
Garlands drape in rooms aglow,
Where hearts reflect on times they know.
-
Yet amidst the festive cheer,
A stillness speaks, profound and clear.
A quiet star in the inky sky,
Bids weary souls to lift their eyes.
-
The past returns in shadows near,
Memories held through every year.
The touch of love, the bonds of grace,
Found in each cherished face.
-
Let us toast to moments dear,
To joy that lingers, bright and clear.
For in this season, pure and true,
We find ourselves renewed.

The image matches the words in my opinion and memories do come to the surface for me. Good work.
The joy that lingers bright and clear. What a beautiful poem. Well done!!!
I really enjoyed the final lines, they felt like an old fashion memory of what Christmas was.
