She was twelve, her heart so light,
A quiet dream, a love so bright.
He was a year older than her,
Her heart curious, blooming with wonder.
A glance, a word, a fleeting smile,
Enough to dream for miles and miles.
She smiled whenever he crossed her mind,
Blushing softly, a song intertwined.
She marked the day he spoke her name,
A moment small but never the same.
She planned it all, the perfect way,
At farewell night, she’d have her say.
She went there, searching for him,
But he was gone—her world turned dim.
No last goodbye, no parting glance,
Just shattered dreams of love’s last dance.
Her heart sank, her voice grew weak,
The words she held, she’d never speak.
A love so pure, yet left untold,
A story lost, but never old
