Whispers of the Restless Heart
Chasing dreams we cannot hold, seeking peace we already own.
By Life HopesPublished 3 months ago • 1 min read

A heart that longs, yet never rests,
Chasing shadows, seeking the best.
The sun may rise, the dreams may come,
Yet still it whispers, “You’re not done.”
.
We reach for love, we reach for gold,
Yet touch slips through, our hands grow cold.
A fleeting joy, a moment’s grace,
And still we wander, still we chase.
.
The world outside may give, may take,
But peace is something we must make.
In quiet breath, in simple sights,
In gratitude, the heart ignites.
.
For wanting fades when seeing true,
The soul has all it ever knew.

Your longer piece put into beautiful poetry. Well done! It also inspires me to continue writing.
