Whispers of a Lost Lover

Eternal Whispers of You

By layali mumtazPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

In the quiet hush of twilight's breath,

Where shadows dance and whispers lie,

I search the winds for your lost caress,

Beneath the pale, unyielding sky.

The stars once mirrored in your eyes,

Now wander lonely in the night,

A tapestry of love, once bright,

Now frayed and torn by time's cruel bite.

Your laughter echoes in the breeze,

A haunting melody, bittersweet,

As memories like autumn leaves,

Fall softly at my weary feet.

In dreams, you linger by my side,

A ghost of love, both fierce and fair,

Yet morning steals you with the tide,

And leaves my heart to cold despair.

O lost beloved, distant star,

Though fate has drawn us worlds apart,

Your essence, near yet ever far,

Remains enshrined within my heart.

The moon, a silent witness pale,

Knows well the sorrow that I bear,

For in its light, I weave the tale,

Of love and loss, of hope and prayer.

Each dawn, a fragile promise breaks,

As sunbeams pierce the morning mist,

But even as my heartache wakes,

I feel the trace of your last kiss.

Through endless days and silent nights,

I walk the path we once held dear,

And though you're gone from mortal sight,

In every step, I sense you near.

For love like ours defies the end,

Transcending realms of space and time,

A bond that even death can't rend,

A symphony, forever mine.

So, as the world spins on its way,

And time erodes the fleeting now,

I hold you in my heart, and pray,

We'll meet again, somewhere, somehow.
