Whispers In Winter

Makes Way For Spring

Whispers In Winter
Photo by Aaron Burden on Unsplash

In silence of a breathless night

Where snowflakes blow in moonlit flight

In blanketed land, world abound

Winter wraps its arms around.

By Filip Bunkens on Unsplash

Crystal branches, and sculptured trees

Each twig and leaf, with frozen pleas

Silence reigns with regal grace

A time when season slows its pace.

By Miikka A. on Unsplash

Yet beneath the ice, a pulse persists

A secret stir, a sun-filled twist

As whispers of Spring begin to rise

With purple blush and azure skies.

By admiratio on Unsplash

The instant decay of winter’s reign

When warmth intrudes, begins the pain

The snowflakes melt, the dreams dissolve

In verdant breath, the heart’s resolve.

By Martin Adams on Unsplash

Fleeting joy of winter’s chill

A calm that stirs, then left still—

For with each bud, each singing stream

Winter’s bliss fades like a dream.

By Daiga Ellaby on Unsplash

So let us linger in this frost

To savour moments that we lost—

In the chilly embrace, in silence sing

Before the earth makes way for Spring.

What a beautiful tribute to winter! This piece truly shows an evolution of your writing talent and skill. I loved the use of color, coupled with the wither of the winter as the seasons change to illustrate the transition of the seasons. This is an EXCELLENT poem!
