Part One

*

there are times we sit by the water

watching the tide roll out

and take away our voices

and yet much is said

left behind in the sand

*

i have always found you beautiful

like a shell against the sand

a fact

and nothing more

but then

the water rolls out

and there is something faint

etched in the sand

more

much more

like a veil lifting

perhaps...

*

and the tide comes back

yanking the thought from the sand

and pulling it into the ocean

sinking to the bottom

before it grows

into a wave

that could wipe away

everything i've ever believed about us

and yet it lingers

*

Next part coming soon
