While I Live
This poem is my testimony of the sacred now.

This poem, "While I Live," is a mirror to my earlier poem, "When I Die." Where that piece offers comfort for others in the future, this one is a celebration of my sacred now, a testimony of my breath and my blessings. I offer it with joy and gratitude for every moment I am given to live, to laugh, to love, and to learn.
While I live, my breath is a blessing.
My thoughts are my truth.
My words are my wings.
My deeds are deliberate.
While I live, my choices are clear.
My legacy is filled with love.
I am at perfect peace.
My spirit soars and sings.
While I live, my heart is healed.
My head is held high.
My mind is magnified.
My purpose is powerful.
While I live, let my life be a light.
Let my lantern continue to lead.
Let my existence be an example.
For the weary and the worried.
While I live...
Let my life be lessons for laughter, love, and legacy.
