Where The Sun Never Shines

Ignorance Is Expensive

By Earl W. PearlPublished 2 years ago Updated 2 years ago 1 min read

It was back in the fifties the “Space race” began

The winner will walk on the moon

I think a few babies were dropped on their heads

And today they’re as dumb as a loon

They battle the obvious, challenge the truth

They’re called the “conspiracy nuts”

The truth’s inconvenient and logic can hurt

They’re the ones with their head up their butts

The Russians were desperately trying to win

Would not they come forward with proof

Breaking the news to a mesmerized world

That “The landing’s were merely a spoof”

But that didn’t happen, it’s obvious why

They too were amazed by the feat

So to falsely accuse would be a mistake

When it’s clear you have suffered defeat

There were 35,000 at NASA back then

Did all of them knowingly lie

Imagine the money for sharing the truth

So wouldn’t just one of them try

The heroes that died on their way into space

Where have they been hiding since then

These logical questions a realist would ask

And a realist would ask them again

You embarrass your children, embarrass yourself

Yet somehow you stick to your guns

The school system failed you so miserably

That you’re proudly the dimwitted ones

Your brain’s undeveloped yet claim to be wise

It’s no wonder you miss all the signs

You’re easily jaded and kept in the dark

With your head where the sun never shines
