Next Time

By Earl W. PearlPublished 2 years ago Updated 2 years ago 1 min read

If I could somehow alter time

Way back before my written rhyme

I’d bring a swing set built for two

And steal away a captured you

I’d say the stuff the smitten do

In hopes a flaming ember grew

Would reinvent the guy you knew

But this time you’d be smitten too
