Where My Wandering Finds You

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished 8 days ago 1 min read

Verse 1

Your memory is a lantern in the forest of my mind,

A quiet glow that guides me when the path is hard to find.

In the drifting of my thoughts, in the spaces in between,

You rise like ancient starlight

From a place I’ve always been.

Chorus

Your memory feels like home to me,

A door that opens endlessly.

So when my mind begins to roam,

It walks the night and finds its home.

Through shadowed woods and silver dew,

My wandering always finds you.

Verse 2

You’re the echo in the stillness, the whisper in the trees,

A presence woven softly through the hush of evening breeze.

I follow where the silence leads, through realms both old and new—

Every hidden path of longing

Curves its way back into you.

Chorus

Your memory feels like home to me,

A door that opens endlessly.

So when my mind begins to roam,

It walks the night and finds its home.

Through shadowed woods and silver dew,

My wandering always finds you.

Bridge

Maybe we knew each other

Before the world began,

In the quiet place where souls are born

And time is made of sand.

Maybe that’s why every journey,

No matter where it leads me to,

Unfolds like sacred geometry

Pointing back to you.

Verse 3

In dreams you are a constellation carved across the sky,

A map of all the lifetimes where our spirits learned to fly.

And when I wake, the veil grows thin, the memory shines through—

A soft reminder from the cosmos

That my heart remembers you.

Final Chorus

Your memory feels like home to me,

A truth that hums eternally.

So when my mind begins to roam,

It drifts through stars and finds its home.

Across the veil, across the blue,

My wandering always finds you.

Outro

So let the world keep turning,

Let the night wind carry me—

Your memory is my compass,

My quiet destiny.
