Where I truly feel at home.

The breaking of the sunlight,

The song birds sing their tune,

The barking of the puppy,

The hope that’s coming soon,

The love she shows by my side,

The days so wisely spent,

That’s what home is to me,

A heart that’s truly content,

Through the sorrows, through the storms,

Through days of excessive grief,

Through the laughter and the joy,

With hope and true belief,

Through the moments I spend with you,

As our eyes would surely stare,

That’s what home is to me,

The presence of such care,

In and out, here and there,

All around, everywhere,

Here to come, there to go,

But in my heart, I surely know,

That no matter where we go,

Or where you and I should stay,

Despite all that we endure,

Or what may come to cause dismay,

Wherever, whenever, whoever we should find,

That’s what home is to me,

Whatever we have, in mind.

Although we may bicker, to tear each other apart,

Home is where it truly matters, deep within my heart…
