Where Are Your Voices?

A Silence Acrostic

Shameful silence for Civilian Hostages, yet

"Intifada Revolution!" echoes from the streets

Little girls assaulted... blamed for provoking their attackers

Every news outlet resists saying why they were so bold

No voices rise in their defence, as Synagogues are firebombed

Centuries from now, we will look back and ask "Where were your voices?"

Every silent tongue will be judged complicit.

If you've been shouting "Free Palestine" without also calling for the release of the Hostages who still have yet to be visited by the International Red Cross, six of whom have just been murdered in cold blood, unfollow me now.

I don't care any more.

Hamas is the one that keeps refusing ceasefires and Hostage/Convicted Prisoner exchanges, and then killing hostages to show that they can. I'm done pandering in the hope that the "but both sides!" people will crack open a history book or verify their sources.

My read count has been going down ever since I came down firmly on the 'condemn Hamas' side of things, and I don't care. I care about what's Morally Right more than I care about winning a Vocal contest or earning money.

This cuts to the bone, Natasja! Heartbreaking, and a very powerful statement.

It breaks my heart to witness all that is happening. War is truly hell. I pray the end of this war is near and the remaining hostages are soon freed.
