When you Walked Into the Room

A Love Story

By Cherryl AcasonPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

I didn't know what hit me that warm and breezy day

My breath caught in my throat and I felt my heart beat faster

My eyes saw only you

When you walked into the room.

I heard the music playing, there were people all around.

It all seemed so distant and friends faded from my view

When you walked into the room.

Your smile so bright and confident, your eyes so deep and blue.

Your elegance and strength, you captured my attention

When you walked into the room.

I didn't know about Love.

I thought it was all a hoax. Then I saw you and my heart stopped.

When you walked into the room.
