I felt lost and alone in a crowded bar room
Then you walked in
The noise silenced, my heart beating, my breath short
You turned, scanning the room like you are looking for someone
But your eyes locked on mine, and I knew
As you walked toward me; the room disappeared
You stood over me, smiled and we knew
Your friends called you over, and you wandered away
I turned in my chair not believing my heart
Who is he; what just happened?
As I glance in your direction, you rose and walked out onto the balcony
I followed, hoping that I hadn’t been wrong and you really felt it too
As I walked through the door, you turned, and I knew
You felt it, you know it – it’s true
Love at first sight
Forty-five years later, when I look in your eyes
I feel it, you feel it – forever
I woke up in darkness with no light to be seen
My heart clearly broken, my soul empty
Emotions run wild, panic close to the top
I hear a sigh, feel a presence
As I slowly turn, I sense – you
Light slowly creeps in, I recognize your eyes
They know me, they see me
Your smile warms me and as my panic subsides
I begin to feel – you
Tears spill down my face, I thought you were gone forever
This can’t be true, this can’t be real
Your voice speaks my name, my lips whisper yours
My soul reaches out and finds – you
I walk slowly forward, needing to be close
I look up in your eyes and feel safe, home, forever
Love me, be one with me, stay
My hand reaches out to touch you, but this can never be
Not for me, not for – you
I knew what had happened, I held you as you left
My mind say “impossible” but here you are
My eyes see you, I heard you speak my name
Our love is eternal, forever is real
I sigh, I understand – my soul reaches out and touches – you
Love at last sight
