I sit here at night

Thinking endlessly of you

Try as I might

I never stop missing you

I hope that you are right

That I can do this without you

With you out of sight

Don’t know that I believe you

I close my eyes tight

And all I can see is you

Trying not to fight

Not really angry with you

You say it’ll be alright

And soon I’ll get to see you

My lip I have to bite

So I don’t cry out to you

My worries take flight

When I don’t hear from you

But my sun shines so bright

When you say I love you

love poems
