Dear me,

A note from future me to current me

Dear me,

You were supposed to grow up to be so smart

So bright and so brilliant

But somehow you failed

You got burnt out

And you struggle everyday in class

You can't focus

And you don't know who you are

Everyday you hope to die

Everyday you harm yourself

Looking for the version of you

The you you could've become

But you aren't her

And you never will be.

But don't take that as a bad thing

It's not.

You wouldn't be you if you never went through these things

And I know it doesn't make it right

But you have to accept it

Accept your trauma, current and past

To grow into a "better" version of yourself

You are who you are meant to be

And you are where you're supposed to be

Don't give up just yet

You'll make it

And grow better everyday
