A gasp, a sigh
A grasp at when and why
A laugh, a cry
A last chance
For goodbye
A puff of wind
Never to be again
A path that ends
Wishing on could have beens
Farewell to friends
And things we've never done
When memories lend
Taking us back to what is gone
The world tilts
And time, unyielding flies
The flowers wilt
And so will you and I

"The flowers wilt And so will you and I" Hopefully not for a while !!!
Arggh sadly it is true! Excellent work💕
Beautiful Beautiful nature poem!!!❤️❤️💕
There's something that comes to mind when I read this. The beat. Oh they remind me of a song, sung by someone with one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard. What's his name 😭😭😭 gaah!! Nevermind that though, this piece was beautifully original and the repeat of the beat sways from the song that popped up in my head. The last line speaks the truth, a reality we all run from in many ways. But what I admire about your poem is that you walked us to the table, gently. And that takes a lot of creativity and thought. Well done, I loved it! 👏🏾👌🏾❤️🤗
