I do find ways to eloquently iterate my words
Even when they bite like Mike Tyson
And sting like Mohammed Ali
What I do have is a respect for Michelle Obama
Who struggled through eight years of hate and malice
And will ever use those words that helped her stay sane
When haters mocked and jeered and called her names
When her life was almost shattered by pain and tears
Because Barack and Michelle dared to dream
Of a world where all could live as one
Was their sacrifice all in vain
Not for all the grey hairs which a Black man gained
Pausing for a moment of his life to hope for change
WHEN THEY GO LOW, WE GO HIGH
