When the Rain Falls

Eventually, your life journey will encounter the rains. Do you carry on, or stop and go away? Or find another way home.

I.

After the rain,

will the streets be clear?

Or will the waters,

deep and dark,

sweep everything away?

II.

If the road’s clear,

then home waits.

If not,

then detours are taken

or the journey is lost.

III.

So you’re left with some choices:

Trudge through it!

Wait for its passing!

Or find a new road!

IV.

Or you can stop,

turn back

and never come this way,

ever more or ever after,

never knowing the fate

at that end of that road.

V.

The rain will always be there.

It’s you who decides

to let this rain

wash you away.

Or let it be just

A hardship,

A diversion

that must be taken

in order to find that place

Called home.
