Nothing New

And Is That My Fault?

MAY I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION:

There's nothing new under the sun

Although it's disturbing, it's already been done

We've polluted the airways

We've polluted your minds

We've given innocence away

Left decency far behind

We've abused the planet

Traded true love for lust

We've exhausted the gamet

Sold our diamonds for rust

Still we cry for our children

Beg for some kind of change

Denying what we've done

Trying hard to shift the blame

We've left scars on the landscape

We've left scars on our hearts

Still we say with a straight face

That none of it was our fault

So, when you turn on the T.V.

At the latest disaster

Remember what I'm saying

There's nothing new to come after

Can we change. Only with God's help can we change. Good job.

I hope we can change. But I don't think the damage is reversible. So sad.

This is sad but true, in my Christian theology class I read an essay in which the author said that we need to treat earth like it is our heaven.
