WhenTerror Stares Back

A Descent into Unseen Terror, Where Shadows Hold More Than Darkness

There’s a corner in your room you’ve never seen.

A place where shadows breathe between,

Where something waits, silent and still,

Feeding on your crumbling will.

--

It doesn’t move, it doesn’t speak,

But every night, you feel it creep.

You sense its eyes—you know it stares,

A thing of darkness lurking there.

--

You close your eyes, try not to see,

But deep inside, you know: it’s free.

Its presence crushes in your chest,

A weight, a force that steals your rest.

--

You catch it in the corner of your eye,

A flicker, a blur, a shadow passing by.

But when you turn toward the space,

It slips away—no sign, no trace.

--

The air grows cold, your pulse turns weak,

It watches still—your body speaks.

You swear it’s not real, just your mind’s trick,

But you feel its breath, cold and thick.

--

Every night, it comes closer still,

The lights flicker, the air goes chill.

And when you sleep, you cannot fight—

Its whispers tear apart your night.

--

Last night, it murmured your name in the dark,

A rasping voice, a fading mark.

It knows your thoughts, it knows your past,

It feeds on pain that will always last.

--

Its shape is near, its steps so slow,

The shadows stretch, the fear does grow.

You feel its fingers, sharp and thin,

A creature crawling through your skin.

--

You see it now, near the door,

Dragging, scraping across the floor.

Its face is hollow, eyes like pits,

A nightmare where your soul now sits.

--

But you’re frozen, paralyzed by fear,

Too late to run, it’s always near.

You feel it brush against your cheek,

As terror makes your spirit weak.

--

Reaching for the light, you gasp,

But something pulls your hand in its grasp.

Cold fingers wrap around your wrist,

A touch you can’t escape, resist.

--

You scream, but there’s no sound to hear—

Your voice lost to this creeping fear.

It drags you down into the black,

Into the void, no turning back.

--

As you fall into this endless night,

Its hollow eyes consume your sight.

There’s no waking, no escape,

Just darkness wearing death’s own shape.

--

Now it’s inside, within your soul,

A pit of emptiness, endless and whole.

You’ll never be alone again—

It waits in every shadow, every grin.

--

And in the silence, as you break,

It speaks once more, for your sake:

"I was always here, beneath your skin—

You’ve always felt the void within."

--

Now every shadow, every breath,

Brings you closer to its death.

When the light fades from your eyes,

It will claim you, where darkness lies.
