Comfort is food many say

drugs brought me comfort one day

no more drugs, or comfort food

no cigarettes and no time to brood

πŸŽ‰

I used to be a Mary Kay lady

It is really hard to imagine that today

Mary Kay would say,

God first, family second

and career third.

πŸ’–

Now I can say my word

is recovery, also known to me as love

from the Creator God above

I gave up on religion a while ago

That is a comfort to many and so

🌺

I can still have a relationship with God first, you know

The name for Creator God is Giizhemanidoo

and the Ojibwe word means loving and kind spirit, anywho

it is one of the names I like to refer to.

It is tough to carry some of my baggage

into my life, and what do I do to gauge?

🌷

I will pack a bag and take my luggage

leaving my baggage at home

it is not time for another psychology tome

it is time to go see family and friends

πŸ’–

We can go by motorcycle and it depends

upon the weather, if we can spend

time outdoors before the end

of our time together. Last time it went

by way too fast. I forgot to send

a thank you note for the time spent!

πŸ’•

This week I will celebrate all the comforts

I forget to acknowledge, the water, the delicious food,

laughter and tears, helpful medicines, and deserts!

All the many things that put me in a good mood!

Like part-time work, is a comfort and can still be a test!

🎈

Touch, hugs, hearing I love you, and all the rest,

I'm sure I have forgotten some of the best.

Do we take the test and go on a quest

to see what is still out there or maybe just stop this rhyme

and consider we have done our best, and end it this time!
