New Year’s Day,

oh my,

what’s to say?

same thing each year,

happy, happy,

oh dear,

oh dear!!

something different,

we might,

like maybe ask,

did you get drunk,

last nite?,

hope you didn’t,

start a fight!!

or,

this year,

will you get a job?,

or continue living,

like a slob?,

or,

sorry about,

your bad luck,

you ate too much,

so go upchuck!!

or,

wishing you well,

through out this year,

be heavy on smiles,

and nary a tear,

so many things,

we have to say,

this,

New Year day,

speak,

shout out,

Hey!!,

then,

quietly turn,

and,

walk away!!!
