What next?

What does this new year behold?

The trials and tribulations,

The uplifting conversations spoken repetitively,

Yearly, daily, down to the very letter,

What mistakes do you still have to correct?

What disciplines should you sharpen?

Or what knowledge should you seek?

As silver or as treasure, day by day,

Week by week?

Are you inspired to learn another skill?

Or to compose a heart felt song?

Will your instrument play a tender piece,

Of where our future belongs?

Is your treasure in a foreign land,

Or a kingdom not yet seen?

How do you encourage others to pursue what has not yet been?

A trade off, an exchange, the days go by each year,

Spoken word, wise instruction, from a loved one held so dear,

What do you desire to improve upon?

What will others say?

What encouragement can we give,

Or what hope, could we relay?
