What I See...

This is what I See...

By Chris Montray’s Bent LogicPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

I see him in the sea the rivers and in the streams.

I see him speak hear his voice travel so deep.

I feel every thought he thinks I know him as you know you and I know me.

I’ve seen him lead not even knowing the leader he could be every soldier ready to bleed he consider them family.

I watched him following someone else’s fight ready to die standing side-by-side no hesitation if they said strike he would bite.

I’ve seen him walk away knowing it was his day or it was not worth the disgrace, knowing the outcome could’ve went either way.

I’ve seen him walk alone his only company his own not able to trust a soul.

I’ve seen the depression sit in lost within him fighting for life striving to do right yet held down by spite.

I’ve seen him cry wanting to die the lies the truth not knowing what to do his decisions mutter his word stuttered.

I watched him heal from wounds unreal scarred him steel.

Watched him grow watched him let go.

I saw a glow the look in his eye for the love deep inside I know the caring he felt for someone else.

I saw the wedding dress she held.

I felt the kick deep within she carried a kid just like the daughter the son was his.

The bliss the happiness he would do anything for them no matter what they need he would provide for all three.

Except for an addiction he couldn’t leave without it he was sick as can be.

Now to reflect gain respect and fix the mistakes he made and regain what they took away it is in his fate.

I see him now clearly I see him in the sea in the rivers and in the streams.

I see what I see but what I see is his reflection I see it’s not him at all it’s me.
