What Autumn Taught My Soul
Lessons in Letting Go, Loving Change, and Finding Peace

Leaves whispered to me in golden tones,
that beauty isn’t meant to last forever.
They fell, not in despair,
but in a gentle surrender to the wind.
The trees stood bare, yet unafraid—
trusting that spring would return.
Their empty branches reached toward the sky,
like open hands learning to receive.
Autumn painted the world in fire and gold,
only to remind me that endings
can still be breathtaking.
That loss can be a work of art
if we choose to see it that way.
The cool air carried a calm truth—
that nothing stays, and that’s the point.
Change is not the thief I once feared;
it is the sculptor shaping my soul.
I walked under that quilt of fallen leaves,
feeling their crunch echo in my chest.
Each step was a reminder—
to love deeply,
to let go gently,
and to stand still when life asks me to wait.
