What A Strange Place

Poetry

By Liz SantisPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

What a strange place

We find ourselves here again

Rarely uncomfortable

Terribly additive

A withdraw so harsh

Where are we in the universe

If not always together

Painfully well

Often translucent

A depression of closeness

Why are we drawn here

To this point in space

To sit and watch the stars

And each other

Just until next time

For we now grow together

As if we always had

I watch, perplexed

Scared, unnerved

Staring into myself

Almost as well as you do

Sitting here in a strange place

love poems
