We shared no childhood romance.
We had no history.
Two hearts, joined by happenstance,
Amid life's mystery.
We recklessly invested
All we'd held inside.
We built, rebuilt, and tested
Without blueprint or guide.
What we've built stands fast today,
Because we learned along the way.

I like the simple rhyme Dana, and the underlying message is a good one. "We built, rebuilt, and tested"- speaks of simpler times when people would get through things together, even when it was hard:)
Love this poem, friend! Writing the story as we go. It ain’t easy, but it’s worth it! Beautiful poem with perfect rhythm!
Amid life's mystery- we recklessly invested. Beautifully Done!!
So, so lovely, Dana! I love the allusions to architecture/building one's love...This clearly comes right from the heart. :)
Beautifully crafted poem with a warm heart.
Such a beautiful love journey, Dana! Exquisite work :)
Beautiful description of a wonderful shared journey
An may your continued learning together ever-deepen your bond with one another.
Without blueprint or guide…. That’s so true. I thought this was beautiful.
Doing that without blueprint or guide is a hugeeeee thing! May you both always be happy together! 🥰🥰🥰
Commitment certainly outshines history when it comes to a foundation for love! Wonderful work, Dana!
Sounds like my husband and I. Love this so much
Loved the sentiment. Isn't that what life is all about, - building - rebuilding and rebuilding once again.
Eloquently written!!! Loved it!!!
