Weightless

Endings And Beginnings

By Kelli Sheckler-AmsdenPublished 5 months ago 1 min read

A startled gasp

for things that pass

A longing glance

when things don't last

A hope for love

as goosebumps rise

Push becomes shove

painful goodbyes

Emotions grow

when letting go

Wrapped up in shadows

afterglow

Collecting stars

and four leaf clovers

To wish upon

when pain takes over

Following paths

that were washed away

By tears and laughter

along the way

Finding the courage

to move on

When the the road left for us

is all but gone

That fateful step

and the great unknown

When all that's left

is moving on

There's nothing left

but jumping off

Take your next step

and claim your life

The Mistress of rhyme is back. Loved this one Kellie and the way it bounces along.

The next step, although scary, can be exhilarating, though!! Nailed it...very empowering

♥️Your words deepened the meaning behind the photo you chose 🤍 I found the flow and rhythm… ♥️ deceptively inviting … with the personality of a burnt match stick. Nicely done as always, Kelli ♥️🤗
