America has lost its way despite being so blessed
With righteous indignation we’re still claiming we’re the best
“Power’s” not the only thing that ranks a nation first
In terms of what is Holy we now rank among the worst
In China and in Russia kids learn science, history, math
But sadly in America we took a different path
Despite what kids are born they’re told, “In pronouns you can boast”
We’re failing now our children when they need our guidance most
We’re first in what we spend on war, we’ve overflowed that cup
We lead in all the prisoners per capita, locked up
In subjects we should value we are far from number one
And leaders bought by lobbyists mean nothing’s getting done
We’ll never have a flat tax since the rich pay little now
Insurance and healthcare need an overhaul, and how
Compared to what we used to be we’re really not that great
I wonder how much longer ‘til indifference seals our fate

Nice, there's so much truth in this. It feels like we're all arguing about how to split the pie, rename the pie, and steal pie from other countries, instead of working together to make things better for ourselves.
Facts💯👌-❤️
This poetry is speaking some truth. We are going backwards. The world look to the US for guidance but we are being so political . We are becoming to material . That’s why God is trying to send us wake up through natural disasters. A war we don’t know how to combat with knowing how to pray and repent . I am going to share this poem for sure 🥰
It's just so sad that it's come to this. Hopefully, some kinda miracle happens! Loved your poem!
