We could’ve tried

We ain’t loving each other no more

By Knightshade Leone Published 4 years ago 1 min read

something happened and I couldn’t understand

She wasn’t satisfied with me just being her man

And I wanted to see other girls and do other things

She wanted new air to smell and room to spread her wings

We should’ve been together now it’s just a closed door

We could’ve tried but we ain’t loving each other no more

Wayback when she was my one and only girl

It was all me and her and the rest was just one big empty world

We fell in love so fast, didn’t last so long

We held each other too tight

And now that girl is gone

Still in the end we treated love just like a chores

We could’ve tried but we ain’t loving each other no more

I saw two days ago

She was looking all right

She used to wear her hair down

But now it’s just pulled back real tight

And she’s acting real quiet like she did back when

I wanted to say hi but I didn’t want to pretend to be her friend

Just then our eyes met and we shared ourselves a grin

She turned away and then I never saw that girl again
