The world wakes up at six A.M. and all of us shuffle to work. Eight to five, Monday to Friday with two days off a week. We groan like drones and rot to our bones for companies who'd replace us without skipping a beat. Tik tok, we stare at the clock with our aching, sunken eyes. "I hate this job," "I hate my boss" become regular songs we sing.
A screaming Karen, or aisles laid barren from riots and raids of injustice. Gas prices too high and babies that cry, from hunger at the formula shortages. Eggs overpriced and the creeping feeling of our demise, we finally see something's wrong. War in Ukraine, we may have worms in our brains, and everything the government sells is poison.
Paycheck to paycheck, not enough income tax back, homes selling for more than they're worth. Price of living goes up, price of working goes down as most people barely make ends meet. Schools not feeding kids, underfunding the veterans who fought for our country before. "I can't feed my kids," "I can't afford a doctor" are soon to be everyone's woes.
There's dogs in the street with nothing to eat, fighting for life everyday. Shelters aren't saving and people aren't praying, depression has spread like black death. The end times are near, we all live in fear as the threat of war here unfolds. Truthful people are hunted, there's now COVID-200, and inventions are being destroyed.
The government wouldn't do that, but they already did. Celebrities are trying to sell all our kids and there's islands where slaves are still kept. I crave something different, this is not a world we should live in where hate is spread like vaccines. Our time here is fleeting and we keep on repeating "Do something," "It's time" yet stay home.
