Waylon went away...
What should I expect?
After all, he's a philanthropist.
He, also, has a thing for lady cats with collars.
He's wild at heart and affectionate,
and always ready to gobble up the food,
before the possum gets it!
Waylon went away...
He was gone longer than usual.
The days passed and passed.
I was getting concerned,
so I prayed he'd come back.
Finally, he came back last night!
He had a few battle scars and a story to purr.
He'd fought off a red-tailed hawk,
slashing through the air,
he escaped, alive, and now,
closer to the porch he'll fare.
