Gliding through watercolor memories
The days bleed into the next
+ we are caught in the remembrance of our own mortality
Consoling the mother who birthed us into being
With tender kisses and embraces
With the questioning of our own hearts murmuring
Was I enough dear mama?
Am I loved?
Can I forgive myself?
Is it true?
Is it true, that we are all eternal lights sailing through
The material like wandering ghosts
Returning to gaze at your beauty
Returning to be set a blaze at what you see
Rings of fire collect themselves in the corridors of our wandering spirits
Wander still
But here we are
Your children
Finding our ways back to one another
I contemplate the richness of our lives
The herculean journey to return
A return to tenderness
The fog of yesterdays turmoil fades away
And we are left with laughter
A song that ripples out into all of history
Forward + back + forward again
In an infinite loop of faith
An infinite loop of remembrance
Eternal light how deeply loved you are
Our dear mama
We love you with all that we are
