Water the Seeds of Greatness

Don't kill baby sprouts

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished 4 years ago Updated 3 years ago 1 min read

Water and sow the seeds of greatness

Don't starve the little sprouts of tomorrow

As a child I was always told I was not enough

I wasn’t pretty enough

I wasn’t smart enough

I wasn’t wanted enough

I wasn’t valued enough

Always told what I was NOT and never what I was.

Never nurtured or cared for

I projected the rejection on what I perceived as inferior physical attractiveness

(not being pretty enough)

It took a lifetime to realize and understand

It never was about me or how I looked

But about others projecting their own trauma and insecurities onto me.

Water and sow the seeds of greatness

Don't starve the little sprouts of tomorrow
