Glorious Healing

By Kelli Sheckler-AmsdenPublished 11 months ago 1 min read

Don’t get all upset

When you’re placing your bets

You never know what you'll get

It’s a writing roulette

Like a kick in the pants

Or a whirlwind romance

Go all in, take your chance

Learn to dance with no hands

Cause the world keeps on spinning

Whether you’re losing or winning

Face the Sun and keep grinning

Today is just the beginning

Those old boots have been waiting

While your wasting, hesitating

Weighing and anticipating

No more need for explaining

Time is precious and short

Give your life a kick start

Let's revive your old heart

Learn to be your support

Age is not just a number

It's a series of choices

When will you finally remember

Just how important your voice is

You've hidden in the corner

Just licking your wounds

A perpetual mourner

Locked in your portable tomb

But life is for the living

You still have time on the clock

Find the peace in forgiving

You're the only you that you got

Kelli, this was like you were prophesying to my soul. Thank you because I needed to remind myself whose I was.

  • Sage counsel, Kelli, though perhaps a bit in the face for people like me who are mute, sitting in the corner pouting, evanescing to the point he never even was. (As I used to like to say to people in college, "I don't exist; I'm just a figment of your imagination; boy, do you have a lousy imagination!; this is the best you could do?" In other words, yep, I'm just bein' me, lol.)

This was awesome, Kelli! I felt more juiced up by the end of it and that picture is great too! Fine words of wisdom, Ms!
