Wake Up the World
We Will Always Be Here For Humanity
Have you seen the state of the world out there
How can it be that we're allowing this to happen
There is so much more that we could be doing
Rather than live streaming disasters and genocides
When did this become everything the media predicted
Remember the hunger games?
When's the revolution?
Don't you think it's time we stopped this madness?
This complete take over where we are all just numbers in their books
But we are more than that, we have empathy, humanity
They are the ones that are just numbers, trying to make it to the top so they can rule the universe
look,
it's not going to happen
We cannot allow it to happen, ya hear me?
Us writers, poets, storytellers,
It is time to get going,
Time to tell the stories and read the poems and cry together and create together
As a community
Because at the end of the day, after everything collapses
We need to be there, to bring hope, and tell what happened and how we survived
So maybe the next time it gets this bad, we'll learn the damn lesson
