Love Letters to Our Existence
Go plant a fucking tree
let electric waves shimmer through your vision like
high roads to higher places
there's a wavering in existence
when realities collapse and everything is vibing on a better wavelength
because then we listen
really begin to see and understand each other
and love is a radical thing but
we fall for it every day
whether with the yellow and purple butterfly
or the smile of a stranger
or a birth of life
so you see
we must begin to hear each other again
our voices
through the phone lines and in person
begin to see each other again and anew
as nature is revived in gratitude to our reconnection
we are the earth you see
and we've been neglecting her
smoke and tears mixed wildfires and tsunamis
we must do better for her
begin to vibrate on the wavelength of rivers that grip her perfectly
we live in the most beautiful world and
she needs us to do better
because without her, there is no us
and without all the music there'd be silence
and what use is silence when everything around is collapsing
so scream
howl
clean your lungs and your neighborhood too
care again
so we don't have to stay in this darkness any longer
we can do it
we
can
do
it
.

A really lovely sentiment to this poem.
This is exactly what I needed to hear this morning and who I needed to hear it from. So many understood feelings and great lines cutting through the chaos that is called world leadership at the moment. That you highlight there's such an easy road back "and love is a radical thing but we fall for it every day." There's something of a gradient to reach...having enough people who care deeply. I'm grateful for you Oneg. Shukria! (Thank you!)
Very powerful and inspiring!!
Yeah Bring back the Greenbelt Movement like Wangari Mathaii founded. A million trees over and over. The planet is weary of us.
Teary eyed: such beauty in your strength and imagery.
Yes, we can take care of the Earth and should.
Very powerful.
A poetic reminder that we must take care of our Earth!
Howling is music. ⚡💙⚡
