I am scalded. The water burns away the nightmares,

And coriolis pulls them, whistling, through the drain

I am soothed. The steam reeks of shampoo and used towels

My tongue takes in bitterness dripping beyond the eyes

I am shocked. My naked body steps out, expecting judgment in the mirror.

You made me believe that I was the person this poem was speaking of. I really felt as though I was in the shower and my nightmares were being pulled through the drain. This was really really good.
