VOCAL (Not Really).
An acrostic about the universal language of awkward silence.

Vehicles become confession booths when you're not in the mood.
Our driver says nothing—he’s seen too much, or just hates small talk.
Connection, they say, makes us human. But no one makes eye contact.
Awkward silence: the most universal language on Earth.
Life is strange. So is sharing it with three strangers and a seatbelt that won’t click.

Congratulations 🥳.
Very imaginative poem… I especially liked the conclusion with “the seatbelt that won’t click.”😃
Beautiful piece, Cathy. So true about the awkwardness. Well done!

This is fantastic, Cathy! You're definitely on my wavelength with this category! That last line really put it over the top for me! I could feel the awkwardness so strongly!
