An acrostic poem on vivid dreams
———————————————-
V oices in my head call to me, from down the hall
I pull my pillow up - to swiftly cover face
V ast images arise before me, I don’t recognize at all
I must be dreaming, nothing’s familiar in this place
D o I dare communicate, or keep my eyes closed, as if sleeping
*
D aylight is hours away, and I am all there is
R em’s holding me captive in its grasp, actively dreaming
E very muscle twitches - till I’m fully his
A nother minute and I may forever be asleep
M oments pass slowly as the clock ticks on the wall
S unrise is the super-power that I need to wake me up. That’s what I get for drinking too much alcohol

Wonderful work!! Love the last line! :)
Great piece. That last line wraps it up perfectly. Well done.
Ah that last line...I think I've been subject to this dream before. HAHA! Great work!
