We’re creatures laced with contradiction

Living life of masked illusion

Reality entwined with fiction

Clarity amongst confusion

Seeking peace through eremitism

Finding true clarification

Healing hearts from double vision

Rebranding our own preservation

Ride the waves, roll with the tides

Jesus saves, letting sins slide

Crime don’t pay, no need to cry

Being brave will come in time

Compliments and epitaphs

Remembering all that we had

Wearing sunglasses in the dark

Striking the match creating sparks

Gentle warriors with big swords

Empty foyers and kind words

Rearranging tables and chairs

While tangents tame our wild hares

Captivated Trojan horses

Crazy thoughts and inside voices

Circle around and double back

I dropped the ball, picked up the slack

And clear the air, emptying plates

The unicorns have left the room
