Unfiltered

Forgive my speech, this love-less language...

"I don't want to be here..."

"I can't wait for this day to end..."

"I don't want to be conscious right now..."

These are rather dangerous thoughts that come to mind‐

and even more so,

dangerous wishes, I've once made—

Unfiltered, as they are

and unedited, as they made their way to this page...

Forgive my speech,

my cursed art,

for from the overflow of the heart

this love‐less language speaks‐

a more explicitly written poetry,

the result a forsakenly flooded capacity...

"I can't stand this..."

"I can't do this anymore..."

"I'm sorry..."

The worst of words that have come from my mouth are these‐

and each has made its way through the ink of my pen,

in one, tale of torment, or another—

By no means is this an easy read

Unfiltered, as they are

and unedited, as they made their way to this page...

Forgive my speech,

this apathy...

this voice that rambles of no peace‐

hopelessness was never my choice,

but with so I've been left

abandoned, and bereft,

only this void remains‐

I've grown bitter towards the truth...

"Whatever..."

"I don't care..."

"Who cares..."

About the Creator

Josh Morgan

Personally, writing began as a creative outlet, to be a means of processing and venting emotion, but it has become so much more. Something I want not to be just relatable, enjoyable and a good read, but to reach someone who is in need.
