Understanding, Not Forgiveness, Brings Release
On understanding that resolution is setting off, not letting go
True release isn't about not crying anymore, but about being able to look back on it all with a smile, not just tears.
You'll still have feelings; you'll still have regrets, but you'll understand the reasons for them. You'll have regrets, but you'll also understand that your regrets are not the other person's burden to carry.
You can still cherish those memories and still cherish the relationship itself. The most precious things about that connection are the innocence we shared and the growth we experienced within it.
I hope that the relationship ultimately becomes the reason for our mutual happiness, not an obstacle. You may have parted in tears, but now, with a smile of understanding, you finally get it.
Relaxation isn't forgiveness; it's understanding. It's understanding that we were truly not meant for each other.
Resolution isn't letting go; it's setting off—moving towards the happiness that truly belongs to you.
